"The Source" Business Directory / Relocation Guide
... This publication is the annual directory of Chamber members and the premier resource for local information. First published in 1999, the directory contains demographic information about Worcester County, local officials, municipalities, schools, community organizations and services, and other types of local information in addition to the categorical listing of all Chamber members. The Directory serves as a useful relocation guide and is a great place to advertise your business. Over 25,000 directories are published annually and are distributed both locally and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to our more than 800 members, every new business and resident will receive a complimentary copy.

Discover Ocean City Vacation Guide....First published in 1953, the Guide has consistently been the most asked for piece of literature among visitors to Ocean City. The comprehensive resource is full of valuable information and a collection of advertisements featuring hotels, motels, realtors, campgrounds, restaurants, amusements, golf courses and shopping.

Chamber Monthly Newsletter
Ocean City’s Voice for Business, E-News is the medium by which the Chamber Staff and Board of Directors communicate with the membership. It is the primary way to keep you the business owner current on Chamber events, community activities, business issues and opportunities. The newsletter provides new member listings, member profiles, local statistics, and a calendar of events and business spotlights of Chamber members. Member input is encouraged and Chamber members have the benefit of advertising in the newsletter at modest rates.
Monthly Newsletters are emailed to all members & their representatives. Hard copies are mailed to those members who wish to receive them free of charge and are available on the web at www.oceancity.org/newsletter.

Weekly Member Elerts
Each Wednesday the Chamber sends out a weekly update titled "Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Weekly E-lert". This template, which mirrors our new website design, enables The Chamber to alert members of community happenings, upcoming Chamber events, member events & specials etc. through our e-mail marketing system. Members can register for Chamber workshops, breakfasts & events directly through the elert by simply clicking the register now button on the event that they have chosen to participate in.
*Members can advertise their business event or special through our e-mail system once per week and are charged a $75 fee.
*There is also ad space available on the weekly e-Lerts to put an general ad (your logo ) w/ a link for $100 per month.
*Charitable organizations & fundraising events are accommodated for a reduced
fee of $50 per elert.

The Chamber’s Voice Mail system and Web Site both allow callers to receive vacation literature in the mail. These systems perform an interview to gather important information about the vacationer. Along with the numerous areas on our website for individuals to request information, there are a number of other sites that we gather requests from. You can purchase the entire list or obtain the names & adresses of those who have expressed an interest in a particular category ie: golf, shopping, accomodations etc.
These “inquiries” are made available in label or e-mail to subscribers for their own marketing purposes. The lists are provided to subscribers each week from January to October containing over 25,000
names annually.

Visitor ELert
Each Month on the 1st and 15th the Chamber sends out an ELert to over 25,000 people who have requested to receive information about Ocean City.
The elert contains all upcoming events for Ocean City, The Chamber of Commerce and the surrounding area. Also included are banner ads and specials run by Chamber members, links to our website and much more...
There are a number of advertising options available from small side ads to full size ads in the body of the elert itself.

Interesting facts about Ocean City Maryland
- The boardwalk benches from the Coast Guard Museum north to Thrasher's all face the boardwalk. From the Northside of the Pier Building (Ripley's) to 4th Street there are benches facing both the boardwalk and the ocean. From 4th Street North to the end of the boardwalk all of the benches face the boardwalk; the sea wall runs from 4th Street North and is about hip high; therefore sitting on a bench facing the ocean; you would not be able to see very much. At one time the benches from 4th Street North were flip back benches; meaning the back could move so that you could sit facing either direction; however in order to make the seating on the boardwalk more aesthetically pleasing per the Boardwalk Development Association those benches were done away with and a more decorative bench was used that does not give you the ability to face either direction.
