2025 OC Chamber Awards: Call for Nominations

The 2025 Ocean City Chamber Awards Celebration will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center from 6-10pm

The Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce is now accepting award nominations for our 2025 OC Chamber Awards, celebrating our 75th year. Please take a few minutes to submit a nomination and help your favorites be recognized!

Young Professional of the Year

This award recognizes a young person between the ages of 21–39 who is employed by or owns a business that is a member of the OC Chamber.
This nominee:

  • goes above and beyond to grow personally and professionally through community involvement
  • exemplifies leadership skills
  • exhibits exceptional vision that contributes to success in the workplace

Chamber Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes an individual who embodies what it means to be a Chamber member.

  • The nominee goes above and beyond in the dedication of their time and effort on chamber projects and events

First Responder of the Year

This first responder with law enforcement, fire department, EMS, or communication/dispatch in the 21842 zip code is awarded for:

  • exemplary acts of valor
  • outstanding community service
  • going above and beyond the call of duty

Non-Profit of the Year

This award is presented to an active 501-C-3 organization that has made a notable impact on the quality of life for those who live and work in the area while adhering to its mission statement.

Citizen of the Year

This award recognizes an individual who, through his/her unselfish commitment to the community, embodies the best characteristics of community citizenship and serves as an example to all.

Community Spirit/Best Initiative of the Year

This new award recognizes a member business that has executed a mission beyond profit-driven goals. The nominee has purposefully addressed community needs by:

  • raising awareness
  • fostering a spirit of community connections
  • organizing ongoing events or activities that uniquely support the community

Business Person of the Year

This award recognizes someone who is the founder, owner, CEO, or president of a business that is a member in good standing with the chamber. The nominee should demonstrate:

  • strong leadership and vision, serving as a positive role model for others
  • a commitment to the success of both business & the community
  • recognition as a successful business manager or owner
Nominate someone for Business Person of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award recognizes an individual for a lifetime of consistent community leadership and philanthropic endeavors that have impacted our community. Their actions, achievements, and contributions evoke admiration and respect. The nominee should have:

  • an exemplary community service record in the area
  • made a tangible impact on the lives of those around them, the community, and their place of business because of their contributions
